The results of these tests as a whole shows the iOS 8.1.1 performance is slightly better than iOS 8 but always split second slower than iOS 7.2.1. For the application loading time fundamentally does not seem very different from the previous iOS 8 update.
We loaded applications on the phone three times each, close them manually between races and timing with a stopwatch. We average three times to get our final result. Of these, iOS 8.1.1 changes little for users with Apple A5-based devices. App load times are basically the same as they have been since the updated iOS 8, and they are still longer than they were under iOS 7.1 Safari is the only one that shows no sign of change that can not be explained by the margin of error, and it is still not great.
